The Founders

The people who
built it.

It started with two colleagues who had spent years building print-on-demand at Amazon. Vijay Roy and Matt Koyama saw what these systems could do for independent artists — and exactly where the big players quietly fell short.

They believed they could build something that lowered the barriers even further and returned more of the profit to the people creating the work. The idea gained real momentum when they brought in Arka Majumdar, a career designer, and Tim Neumair, a cross-border commerce and finance specialist.

Together, they chose apparel because it sits at the intersection of art, technology, and everyday self-expression. At a time when human creativity was increasingly being targeted for replacement by AI, they saw a different path: use the same advances in technology to build leanly, while putting human artists at the center — not on the sidelines.

Vijay Roy

Founder & Product Lead

I grew up in Kolkata, India, where art and artists are deeply revered. Though I chose engineering and product development — spending a decade at Amazon — travel and life in the Pacific Northwest kept pulling me back to creativity. When it came time to build something of my own, the choice was clear: create in service of art, artists, and the joy they bring to the world.

Matt Koyama

Co-Founder & Business Lead

Growing up in Hawaii, I was surrounded by different cultures, styles, and ways of being, and it gave me a lasting appreciation for individuality. My career has lived at the intersection of art and technology, scaling print-on-demand at Amazon and building partnerships at Xbox. At Loomerang, I get to put that experience to work for independent artists.

Arka Majumdar

Co-Founder & Design Lead

My journey has always been shaped by creativity, design, and storytelling. Over 16 years I've worked across UX and digital products, helping startups and global brands build meaningful experiences. At Loomerang, I lead UX and design strategy — focused on creating a platform that feels inspiring, intuitive, and artist-first.

Tim Neumair

Finance Lead

Before Loomerang, I worked in accounting and consulting — most recently as an auditor at KPMG — and spent several years living and working in China. Those experiences gave me a global perspective and a real appreciation for different communities. At Loomerang, I'm building the financial foundation that lets independent artists thrive.
