Loomerang
Applicable to all designers, storefronts, and content on the Loomerang platform
This Community Standards Policy ("Policy") sets out the standards of conduct, content, and community behavior that apply to all designers, storefronts, and content hosted on the Loomerang platform. It is incorporated by reference into the Loomerang Independent Designer Agreement ("General Terms") and forms a binding part of every designer's agreement with Loomerang.
Loomerang is a curated marketplace built on a simple premise: talent is everywhere, and great design deserves a global stage. These standards exist to protect that premise for designers, for customers, and for the platform as a whole. They are not arbitrary restrictions. Every standard below reflects either a legal requirement, a quality threshold, or a commitment to the kind of community Loomerang is building.
By creating an account and publishing products on Loomerang, every designer affirms they have read and agree to this Policy. Loomerang reserves the right to update this Policy with fourteen (14) days' written notice to designers. Continued use of the platform after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
All designs, product images, storefront copy, profile content, and any other material a designer uploads or publishes on Loomerang must meet the standards set out in this section.
Loomerang welcomes a wide range of original creative work across styles, geographies, genres, and aesthetics.
Permitted content includes:
Original artwork, illustration, typography, and graphic design created by the designer or for which the designer holds all necessary rights.
Photography, mixed media, and digital art where the designer owns or has licensed all component elements.
Cultural, regional, and community-specific design work that authentically represents the designer's voice and identity.
Mature themes (e.g., dark humor, social commentary, edgy aesthetic) where the content does not cross into prohibited categories listed in Section 2.2.
The following categories of content are strictly prohibited on the Loomerang platform. Publishing prohibited content is grounds for immediate product removal and may result in account suspension or termination pursuant to Section 5.
Designs that reproduce, imitate, or are confusingly similar to third-party trademarks, logos, or brand identifiers without authorization.
Designs that incorporate copyrighted characters, artwork, lyrics, or other protected works without a valid license.
Designs that exploit the likeness, name, or image of any real person, living or deceased, without documented consent.
Fan art that reproduces or closely imitates proprietary characters or IP (stylistic inspiration and parody are evaluated case-by-case; contact the Loomerang team before publishing if uncertain).
Content that promotes, glorifies, or dehumanizes individuals or groups on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or socioeconomic status.
Symbols, imagery, or language historically associated with hate movements, white supremacy, or genocide, regardless of claimed intent.
Content that uses slurs, epithets, or derogatory language targeting any protected group.
Graphic depictions of real-world violence, gore, or bodily harm.
Content that glorifies, celebrates, or incites violence against specific individuals, groups, or institutions.
Content that promotes, instructs, or facilitates self-harm, suicide, or harm to others.
Designs that feature or promote illegal weapons, illegal drug manufacturing, or other unlawful activity.
Explicit sexual content, nudity, or pornography of any kind.
Content that sexualizes minors in any way. Zero tolerance, immediate permanent ban.
Content that is sexually suggestive in a manner likely to cause offense to a reasonable person, without clear age-gating or platform-appropriate labeling.
Designs that promote demonstrably false health or medical claims.
Content that impersonates government agencies, official health bodies, or Loomerang itself.
Election misinformation or content designed to suppress voter participation.
Content that exposes or references a private individual's personal information (address, phone number, financial information, etc.) without consent.
Designs that incorporate unauthorized photographs or images of private individuals.
Some content is not prohibited but requires additional care in how it is presented. Loomerang may request that sensitive content include appropriate product descriptions, age guidance, or storefront labeling. Sensitive categories include:
Political commentary and satire — permitted; must not constitute defamation or harassment of specific individuals.
Religious imagery and symbolism — permitted when treated with cultural sensitivity; contact Loomerang if uncertain.
Dark humor and shock aesthetic — permitted where it does not cross into prohibited categories; evaluated contextually.
Violent imagery in an artistic or historical context (e.g., war photography, horror genre art) — evaluated case-by-case.
A designer's Loomerang storefront is their branded presence on the platform. Loomerang provides significant flexibility for designers to express their identity, but storefronts must meet the following baseline standards.
Before a storefront is eligible for any Loomerang promotional commitment (spotlight, homepage feature, etc.), the following must be complete:
Designer bio — minimum two sentences, in any language, describing the designer's work and identity.
Profile photo or avatar — must represent the designer or their brand; stock photos or third-party imagery not owned by the designer are not permitted.
Storefront banner image — original artwork preferred; must not contain prohibited content.
At least one storefront customization (color palette, tagline, or layout selection).
Storefront names must not impersonate other designers, brands, or public figures.
Storefront names must not incorporate Loomerang's name or trademarks without written permission.
Storefront taglines and descriptions must be accurate — false claims about designer credentials, awards, or affiliations are prohibited.
Product titles and descriptions must accurately represent the product being sold.
Keyword stuffing, misleading tags, or SEO manipulation designed to surface products in irrelevant searches is prohibited.
Designs shown in product mockups must match the design that will actually be printed and shipped.
Pricing must be set in good faith. Loomerang reserves the right to flag products priced in a manner likely to mislead consumers.
Loomerang operates a private designer community channel (Slack or Discord, as designated) for the launch cohort and ongoing designer community. The following conduct standards apply to all community channel activity.
Treat fellow designers, Loomerang team members, and customers with professional respect.
Share constructive feedback, creative inspiration, and platform knowledge generously.
Disclose conflicts of interest when making platform recommendations (e.g., recommending a service in which you have a financial stake).
Harassment, intimidation, or sustained negative targeting of any individual.
Spam, unsolicited promotional content, or repeated off-topic posting.
Sharing another designer's unreleased work, private storefront data, or confidential business information without permission.
Coordinated review manipulation, artificial traffic generation, or any form of platform gaming.
Soliciting customers to purchase outside the Loomerang platform in order to circumvent Loomerang's revenue share.
Designers must respond to customer inquiries forwarded by Loomerang within a reasonable timeframe.
Designers must not make unauthorized commitments to customers (e.g., delivery guarantees, custom modifications not offered through the platform) that Loomerang has not approved.
Designers must not solicit customer reviews in exchange for compensation or discounts.
This section supplements the IP provisions in the General Terms and the Launch Designer Addendum (where applicable).
By publishing any product, the designer warrants that they are the sole creator of the design, or that they hold all necessary licenses, permissions, and rights to publish and sell the design commercially on a print-on-demand platform with global distribution. This warranty is ongoing — it applies at the time of publication and continues for as long as the product is listed.
Designs that incorporate third-party assets (licensed fonts, stock imagery, brushes, textures, or other elements) must comply with the commercial use terms of the applicable license.
Licenses that permit personal use only, or that prohibit use on merchandise or print-on-demand products, do not satisfy Loomerang's requirements.
It is the designer's responsibility to verify license terms before publishing.
Loomerang operates a notice-and-takedown process pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent international frameworks.
If Loomerang receives a valid takedown notice relating to a designer's product:
The product will be taken down promptly, and the designer will be notified.
The designer may file a counter-notification if they believe the takedown was made in error, pursuant to Loomerang's DMCA Policy.
Repeat infringers — defined as designers who receive three (3) or more valid takedown notices within any 12-month period — will have their accounts terminated.
Loomerang's quality guarantee to customers — that every order meets a consistent standard regardless of designer — means that quality requirements are non-negotiable.
Loomerang performs quality review on all orders prior to shipment.
All design files must meet Loomerang's technical specifications (resolution, color mode, file format).
Designs must be submitted at print-ready resolution.
Loomerang's AI upscaling tools are available to assist but do not guarantee print quality for severely under-resolution files.
Designs must not contain visible compression artifacts, banding, or other technical defects that would degrade print quality.
Designs shown in storefront mockups must be accurate representations of the actual print.
Color representations in mockups are approximate — designers should note this in product descriptions where significant color variance is expected.
Designers must not list products in categories they do not fit (e.g., listing a graphic tee as activewear).
Loomerang monitors customer feedback, return requests (where applicable), and quality review outcomes on an ongoing basis.
Designers whose products generate a disproportionate number of quality complaints may receive a notice and be required to resubmit design files.
Persistent quality issues are grounds for product removal.
Loomerang may take the following actions in response to violations of this Policy, applied proportionally to the severity and recurrence of the violation:
| Action | When Applied | Rate Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Content warning / education | First-time, minor, or ambiguous violation | None |
| Product removal | Clear policy violation; IP takedown notice | None (unless repeat) |
| Storefront suspension (temporary) | Repeated violations; pending investigation | Suspended during period |
| Rate review notice | Fulfillment or conduct shortfalls per Addendum | Potential reversion to 60/40 |
| Account termination | Severe violations; repeat infringement; platform circumvention | All earnings paid per schedule |
Except for severe violations requiring immediate action (prohibited content involving minors, credible threats of violence, active IP infringement), Loomerang will:
Notify the designer of the specific policy violation via email and in-platform notification.
Allow the designer a reasonable opportunity to respond or remedy the violation (typically 7–14 days depending on severity).
Apply the proportional enforcement action if the violation is not remedied.
Loomerang's enforcement decisions are final, subject to the dispute resolution provisions in the General Terms.
Loomerang is not obligated to provide a platform for content that violates this Policy.
Designers who believe an enforcement action was applied in error may submit an appeal to the Loomerang Community Manager within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving the enforcement notice.
Appeals must include a clear explanation of why the designer believes the action was incorrect.
Loomerang will review appeals in good faith and respond within ten (10) business days.
Appeal decisions are final.
Loomerang relies on the designer community to help maintain platform standards.
If you observe content or conduct that you believe violates this Policy:
Use the in-platform "Report" function on any product listing or storefront.
Contact your Community Manager directly via the designer community channel.
For IP infringement, submit a formal takedown notice pursuant to Loomerang's DMCA Policy.
Loomerang reviews all reports and responds within five (5) business days.
Reports made in good faith are treated confidentially.
Filing false or malicious reports is itself a violation of this Policy.
Loomerang may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law, platform capabilities, or community standards.
Designers will receive fourteen (14) days' written notice of any material changes via email and in-platform notification.
The current version of this Policy will always be accessible at [loomerang.com/designer/store/community-standards].
Continued use of the platform following the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
